It's been a while since an acutal "update" update, not a Venezuela update. So, I will now tell you what's been going on in my life over the past few weeks. :)

Got back from Venezuela just in time for Mike's wedding. It was amazing, absolutely amazing! It was so simple, yet so romanic. Andrea was absolutely beautiful!! Mike cried when she walked downe the aisle! It was so cute. So, yeah the wedding was amazing. The reception was a lot of fun, too. The whole weekend was just great. We had the rehersal Friday night and then had a big cook-out over at our house afterwards for everyone. It was a lot of fun. This wedding was just absolutely perfect. The decorations all turned out beautiful. The ceremony was just awesome. It's still kinda weird to think that my brother is married now. It hasn't really hit yet. Mike and Andrea came and visited us on Friday on their way home from Gatlinburg. They had a great time. I'm just so happy for the two of them. They're so perfect together and I just absolutely love Andrea! By the way, you can look at all the awesome pictures from the wedding here:

http://http://photos.yahoo.com/michaelandandreabrewerwedding

Ok, so what's been going on in Kim's life....

My birthday was last Thursday and I kinda had a four day long celebration of it. I went to B-Town on Thursday and got to spend the day with Cory which was awesome. We hung out all day and then went to Connexion that night and then just hung out some more. Nothing like some great QT. :)

Friday, I got my haircut after work and then came home and got ready for the family b-day party. Cory came down and Mike and Andrea stopped by one their way home. Stacey, Madi, adn Grandma came over too and we ordered pizza and had yellow cake with chocolate icing. YUMMY!!

Saturday I took a break from my birthday activities and just worked all day.

Sunday, I had a little get together after church. Dad grilled hamburgers and Cory showed off his grilling skills and made some delicious chicken. Had a pretty good turn out. Josh surprised me by showing up. It was really great to get to see him and catch up. Sarah Blair and I had some much needed talking time. It was just a great day. I got to spend it will all my Sullivan friends who I won't see much of anymore after this next week. : ( This summer has gone by soooo fast. I can't believe it already over. I'm really excited about going back to school, but I am going to miss everyone a lot. This summer was just so busy for everyone. If it wasn't for church, I don't think I would have hardly seen any of my friends. Oh well, I guess that's just a part of growing up...

Souls Harbour had it's first real practice last night. We have a new addition to our band...the one..the only...Chris Parrish! YAY! Last night was awesome. We busted out some awesome tunes. Harmonies were awesome, bass lines were really awesome. This is seriously a dream come true for me. For those of you who may not know, I'm in a band now. It's awesome. Our first gig is Friday, Septemeber 17 at 8 p.m. at Comfortzone Coffeehouse in Plainfield, Indiana. It's going to be awesome! The band consists of me, my amazing boyfriend Cory, my amazingly talented friend Dusty (aka 'D'), and my other amazing talented friend who busts out awesome bass lines like no other, Chris. It seriously is just so much fun. I can't even describe how excited I am about this. I get to sing and play with some of the most talented people I know. It's awesome. We also have a band blog:
http://http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=CountryEmonaut
You can go there to read about any news about the band and what not. It's pretty cool. So yeah, I'll keep you updated on here as much as I can about the band.

Well, I guess I should wrap this up. I need to start getting some stuff organized and packed. I move back to B-Town in 5 days!!! YAY!!! This year is going to rock! I could list all the reasons why this year is going to rock, but I'll leave that for the next post!

Until then, I send my love to you all!!!

Well, I'm a few days late, but here's part two of my trip to Venezuela:

Wednesday we got up muy temprano (very early) to meet to go to camp. We ended up sitting around for at least an hour or so. (BTW, Venezuelans are never on time. Time is just not an important issue to them. In a way, this is cool, but it isn't when you are starving and everyone is running an hour late picking you up for dinner. Anyway...) We finally all loaded on to the bus and headed to camp. The bus ride was long and hot, but fun. It gave us time to sit and chit chat with some of the youth. We got to camp around noon or so. Upon our arrival, we were informed that the camp had lost all electricity. This was a very bad thing. Especially when you've got about 30 hungry kids around. We ended up being without power for about the first few hours. Johnny and Paul had driven up separately and were running late so by the time they got to the camp with all of the food, the electricity was back on. We mainly just hung out most of the afternoon. Some people played futbolito which is just soccer played on a basketball court. Others swam in the big green pool which Jenny was completely grossed out by. She cringed every time she walked past it. I found it amusing. :) We had dinner and then had our first main session. It was really good. The drama team did skits every night and they were funny even though I had no idea what they were saying! Once again, the worship was amazing. And I'm sure the sermons were good too, but that stupid language barrier thing got in the way again. ;)

Every day at camp was pretty much the same. We had a morning devotion at 7:30. Actually, by the time everyone got there, it was more like 8:30. The CSF gang was in charge of the devos. Jenny gave hers Thursday, I gave mine Friday, and Daniela gave hers Saturday. Then we had breakfast. After breakfast, we had two sessions. During the first session, we could choose between two electives to go to. On Thursday, I went to the one that was going to be taught in English. Luke, a missionary in training if you will, taught it. It was about the world and not being consumed by it. It was really good. He focused on 1st Corinthians and compared the Corinthian Church to the church today. For the second session, we divided up, girls and boys. This was the sex talk, hence why guys went to one and girls went to another. It was really good. All I have to say is that Julie, another missionary in training, is amazing. She is definitely one of those girls that you just love to be around. Her talk was amazing and she was just amazing the entire time at camp. On Friday, I skipped the first elective because we all had to help Julie orgainze a skit for her session that day. Friday was the dating talk. Some of the girls put on a hilarious version of "The Dating Game." All I have to say is that Daniela plays the best geek ever! That session was definitely my favorite. Julie taught it as well and she was awesome.

We had a lot of free time during the day between lunch and dinner. This was spent in various ways. Futbolito, swimming, the climbing wall, the zip line, and playing hide and seek were the most popular activities. This was a fun time of the day because it gave us time to just kidna hang out with the youth. I love futbolito! It was so much fun playing with everyone!

Both main sessions Thursday and Friday were just as good as Wednesday's. Thursday, the CSF group sat in the back and prayed throughout the entire evening main session. It was an awesome experience. There were a couple specific things that we were asked to pray for, but mainly we just prayed that God would break these kids. The theme for camp was "Transformation" so we prayed that God would touch the hearts of everyone there and that he would transform them into what he wanted them to be. I don't really know exactly how to describe that night. It was definitely one of the most spiritual experience I've ever had. It was also awesome to see some of our prayers answered by the end of the week.

Friday's main session was really really good. At the beginning of worship, Johnny asked everyone to just get into a comfortable and humbling position, whether that meant laying down on the ground, standing up, falling to your knees, whatever. A lot of the kids were just bowing down before God. It was awesome to see them worship and humble themselves before God. After the main session, we built a bonfire and a few people shared their testimonies. Daniela gave hers and then a guy named Hannibal gave his. His testimony was very emotional and moving. His mother was Catholic but wasn't very involved in the church and his father was an atheist. He grew up as an atheist and believed in science. He had a rough couple years. He had a nasty break up with a girl and his life kinda went downhill. He was depressed and was diagnosed with some kind of depression, but I'm not really sure what. He tried to kill himself and he got mixed up with just a lot of bad stuff. He started hanging out with the youth group a few years back and finally gave his life to Christ about a year or so ago. His testimony was very emotional and moving. I definitely shed a few tears throughout that one. He is such an amazing guy. He has such a strong faith and you can see that in everything that he does. He is only one of the amazing people I met while in Venezuela. Anyway, after the testimonies, the CSF crew got the opportunity to share an amazing American tradition with the Venezuelans...making s'mores! It was so much fun! Some of these kids had never had a s'more before! One kid, Gabo, ate 10 s'mores! TEN!! And he never got sick! It was hilarious! I asked him how he felt and he just got this huge smile on his face, patted his belly, and said "I feel good"! It was great! He was such a fun guy! Anyway, despite the stress of melted chocolate bars and broken graham crackers, it was a lot of fun to make s'mores for everyone. I think I had one too many. I was insanely hyper that night. If you know me well, you know how I can get when I have a lot of sugar and I get into one of those hyper, annoying, slap-happy Kim moods. Yeah, I was totally in one of those that night, but it was fun. We all ended up hanging out till 1 am that night. It was a lot of fun, but getting up for the 7:30 devotion the next morning was not very fun...

Saturday, we just had one main session after breakfast. Paul gave the sermon. It was awesome. He hates to preach, but when he does, he does an awesome job! After the main session we had lunch and then just started cleaning up and packing to head home. We got back to Caracas later on that evening and just went home to get showered and do some laundry. We were supposed to go to dinner at 8, but that turned into about 9 or 9:30, but it was definitely worth the wait! We (being Me, Jenny, Daniela, Joel, Paul, Johnny, and his wife, Zandra) went to Outback for dinner (yes, they have an Outback Steakhouse in Caracas, as well as a TGIFriday's and a Hooter's!). It was a blast. We were all so exhausted and slap happy, it was great! If you don't know any better, you would have thought we were all drunk. Between Paul's Chocolate Thunder from Down Under and hearing him and Johnny talk about the big ass they saw earlier that day, it was hilarious! (Ass referring to a donkey, mind you) :) It was hilarious! Anyway...

Sunday, was the same as the last Sunday except more fun because we actually knew everyone. We went to Wendy's for lunch again after church and got to hang out with everone. Youth group was awesome! I gave my testimony which was nerve racking but everyone said I did good and that they enjoyed it. Then we all talked about our favorite parts of camp and what not. The end was the saddest part. :( I had to say goodbye to everyone. It was soooo sad. It was so hard to say goodbye. I mean, these people were amazing. I can't even describe how amazing they were! They were just the most loving, friendly, and God filled people I've ever met. We were supposed to go to there to help encourage this kids, but I honestly think I got encouraged more than I encouraged. Everyone shed a few tears while saying our goodbyes. Ok, everyone shed a lot of tears while saying goodbye, especially me.

Well, there you have it. My trip in a nutshell. I'm not the best at telling stories and I apologize if you were bored throughout any of this. If you want to know any more about my trip or have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment or drop me an email. It's just really hard to put into words all the amazing things I experienced while in Venezuela. I'll leave you now with some memorable quotes from the trip:

Kim: "Mi casa duele! Wait, I mean mi cabeza duele!"

Jenny: "Anyone want any chicle? Did you like that, I said it in Espanol!"

Francisco: "It's an internal joke between the two of us."

Daniela: "The butt's open!" (referring to the back of the Explorer)

Paul: "That's the biggest ass I've ever seen!"

Jenny: "I cannot do the work on God in this condition!"

Everyone: "Da Moose, Da Moose..."

Linda: "Why you do that?"

Johnny: "But it's my birthday cake..."

*Sigh* Good times! YAY! First off, if you are wanting the short "how was it" version, it was absolutely AMAZING!! By far the best trip ever!! I got to meet some of the coolest people in the world and I experienced God in a way I never had before. It was AWESOME! Now for the little longer, more in detail version of my trip. Be prepared, I hope you aren't in a hurry........:)

So, I got to Paul's house around 9:15 Friday morning, the 23rd, and we headed to the airport. At the airport, we met up with the rest of our group, Joel and Jenny (my future roommate!). Friday was kinda boring, we just flew the whole day. The flights were good. We flew from Indy to Atlanta to Caracas. The plane rides gave plenty of time for some much needed bonding and filling in of each other's lives. It was nice. We got to Caracas around 8 or 9. Johnny, the missionary we worked with, and his family were all there to pick us up as well as Daniela who is a girl from CSF who is Venezuelan and came down a week early to visit family. When we got into the city, we were greeted my thousands of beautiful lights. The mountains looked like Christmas trees. We were later informed that those beautiful lights were coming from the "barrios" which are houses that are pretty much just stacked on top of each other. The poorer people live in the barrios, and during the day, it is not pretty at all. Anyway, we were all then taken to where we would be making our homes for the next 10 days. We three girls stayed with Senora Aura. Her house is amazing! When I walked in, I thought I walked into a castle. First off, she has tons of paintings hanging everywhere. They were gorgeous! Her furniture is kinda victorianish, if that's a word. Either way, the house was amazing! It made a nice home for 10 days.

Saturday, we got up and headed to the park where all the youth hang out. Now, I will refer to the people we hung out with as the "youth" or "kids" but most of them are older than me. We worked with kids from 17- mid 20's. We met a few of them at the park. They all go there to play soccer. It was fun. We then sat down with Johnny and had kinda an orientation type thing. He just let us know exactly what we would be doing and what not. Then we went to a Venezuelan restaurant for lunch. It was amazing! Arepas and Cachapas are delicious! We spent the rest of the day getting all of our souvenir shopping out of the way. Then just kinda hung out.

Sunday was a long, but great day. All we did all day was go to church and eat! Their church doesn't start until 12:30 or 1, something I definitely think we should do here in the states! That morning, Senora Aura made us an amazing breakfast. We went to church and were there till about 2:30 or 3. Then we went to Wendy's for lunch and just hung out until it was time for youth group. Youth group was a lot of fun. Jenny and I got up with Paul and taught a few English praise songs to the youth group. That's another thing...Worship was awesome! It was so cool because even though we weren't exactly sure what we were singing, we could still feel the spirit. We knew most of the songs because they were songs we sing here, they were just in Spanish. It was just really cool to be able to worship in another language. Jenny also gave her testimony that night at youth group. It was really good. Then we just hung out with the youth some more. It was a lot of fun. I got to practice my Spanish on some of them. They are so encouraging! Even if you totally mess up and say something really stupid, they just kinda laugh it off and correct you. They love it when you try to talk to them in Spanish. After youth group, we went to grab some dinner and then headed home for the night.

Monday we got up met some of the youth and we climbed up the mountain to Avila. I'm not sure if Avila is the name of the mountain or the name of the peak that we went to. Not sure...either way it was gorgeous. It was definitely a workout hiking up it, but it was definitely worth it. We could see the entire city and it was beautiful. The way down the mountain was a lot of fun because we were able to talk a little more since we weren't so out of breath. We were able to chit chat. It was fun. After the mountain, we just hung out for a little bit and showered and went to the mall that night. This mall is outrageous! It is the biggest mall in South America. It is HUGE! The girl that we hung out with most of the time, Linda (pronounced Leendah), said that she hasn't even seen the entire mall, and she's lived there her whole life! It was insane! But it was really nice because stuff was really cheap, at least for us. After the mall, we went back to Linda's place and watched "13 Going on 30." Great chick flick! After the movie, it was bed time and we all headed home.

Tuesday was kinda a blah day. We didn't really do much. We slept in and got some stuff ready for camp and then went to the mall again and went to dinner with a bunch of people. Other than that, not much happened.

Well, I think I'm going to leave it at that for now. Wednesday we headed to camp so I'll post more tomorrow or Friday and let you know how all of that went. I'll give you a hint...it was AWESOME! Hopefully you enjoyed the first half of my trip to Venezuela. If you did, great! And it gets even better!!! If you didn't and were totally bored out of your mind while reading this, don't worry, it gets better!!!

Until then... Adios! Necesito acostarme. Estoy muy cansada. Te quiero!

Currently Playing: Dashboard Confessional - The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most

Greetings to all! Figured it was time for another post. :) I just got off work. Actually I got off almost an hour ago, but I finally got to sit down. Work was pretty good tonight. We were super busy the whole time, which was good because it made the night go by fast. The highlight of my night was definitely my break, for mulitiple reasons. Well, here goes the random thoughts of today...

Tomorrow is Andrea's bridal shower. It should be a lot of fun. I gotta get up early to clean and run some errands. I don't think we're going to have a big turnout. It'll probably just be her family and ours, but it's still going to be fun. You just put her mom and my mom together and you know there's going to be fun. :) I still just can't explain how happy I am for her and Mike. She's just so awesome! Tomorrow is going to be great!

I shouldn't listen to awesome music while I blog...it distracts me. I end up singing and rocking out instead of typing. Focus, Kim, focus...

This weekend should be fun. I have the shower tomorrow and then a concert tomorrow night. Sunday I'm having a party and you are invited!!!! Yes, you! I don't care who you are. If you are reading this, then most likely you know me and are my friend. So, get your booty down to Sullivan on Sunday around 1 or so. Bring your swimsuit and an empty tummy. Bring the swimsuit so that you can swim (duh) and bring an empty tummy so that you can fill it with Dave Brewer's legendary hamburgers! It should be a great time, so come!

I leave for Venezuela in 6 days. A week from this very moment, I will be in Caracas. That is hard to believe. I think I'm getting more and more nervous everday, but still excited. Speaking of which, guess what I got at Wal-Mart the other day??? Seriously, guess............................(giving you time to guess).................... Nope, that's not it, but close! I got a Spanish Bible for only $1.47!! Isn't that awesome! The whole Bible in Spanish for $1.47! I was excited!

I somehow misplaced the packaging slip that came with my computer so I couldn't send in and get the $100 mail-in-rebate. That sucks. But, in a way it's my fault. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to send the rebate form in. Oh well, it's just 100 bucks, no big deal.......;)

I've forgotten how awesome this album is....

I was looking through some of my music the other day and I realized that I have about 5 or 6 completed songs of my own. Now, I know for some of you more experienced musicians, this may not seem like a big deal, but it is for me! Heck, that's half of an album! This makes me very happy. :)

So far, I haven't changed my mind about my major. Still going with Elementary Ed. This is a good thing.

I love the 90's rocks!!!!!!!

Andrea introduced me to something wonderful the other day...myspace.com. It's kinda like another blog website, but it's kinda cooler. It's more musically oriented. You can look up bands and what not on there. It's pretty fun.

Well, I guess that's enough rambling for tonight. Wait! No it's not! I haven't talked about my amazing worship experience that I had the other night...

So, I went to the Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, and David Crowder band concert the other night and it was awesome!!! Brooke called Tuesday night and decided not to go, which bummed me out, but I understood. But, I had no problem finding someone else to go with me since my mom is a die-hard MWS fan. BTW, big BIG THANKS goes out to Brooke for the tickets! You are awesome and I love you!!!! Anyway, the concert was amazing, that's all I can say. It was seriously just a three hour long worship service. Something Mom and I both really needed. We've both been kinda stressed lately and it was great to just go and worship and forget about work and all the other craziness of life. Dave Crowder was awesome, but the crowd wasn't really getting into him too much for some reason. I loved him, though. Although he only played for like 20 or 30 minutes which kinda stunk. Then MWS came out and was later joined by MercyMe and they played a few songs together. Eventually MWS left and it was just MercyMe. They were awesome! I could have just listened to them the whole time. Then the opposite think kinda happened. MWS came out and joined MM and eventually MM left and it was just MWS. He was as good as I expected him to be. The end of the concert was the best. MWS, MM and Dave Crowder all came out and led a few songs. It was awesome. Then, we ended by singing "Awesome God." The instruments faded out so it was just our voices and then everyone started to clap to the beat. I can't really describe it, but it was beautiful and amazing.
Then it was kinda abruptly stopped by the Verizon people raising the house lights. All in all, it was a great time. There's just something about having a really stressful week and then just being able to go and sing your heart out and really worship God for a few hours that is just amazing. I can't really describe it. It's a great stress reliever. :) Also, besides the amazing concert, it was nice to have some mother-daughter time. I really love my Mom for everything she is to me and I love being able to hang out with her and listen to my music and look over and see her kinda bobbing her head along to the music. She's so cute!

Ok, now I think I'm done rambling. I hope everyone is doing well. And don't forget...Sunday, 12:30 or 1ish, my house in Sullivan, pool party!!! Be there or be square!!!...(man, I'm a dork)

Goodnight, all! :)

I probably shouldn't be posting on here, but I just can't help it. I need to blog!

Even though I don't want to feel like a copy cat, I kinda like this random thoughts blogging idea. I have a bunch of random stuff going on in my head right now, and it would be nice to get it all out. So, here it goes...

Went shopping for wedding decorations with Andrea (future sis-in-law) and Stacey (big sis) today. We had a blast. We got everything we needed and stayed within our budget. I'm sooo looking forward to this wedding, but I don't really know why. First off, the ceremony itself is going to be amazing. It is so perfectly Andrea and Mike. From the simple decorations, to the music that they're playing, it is going to be awesome! For all you Further Seems Forever fans, she is walking down the aisle to "New Year's Project"! How awesome is that!! Plus, I've gotten to know Andrea really well over the last month or so and I just love her so much! I'm so excited about having her as my new sis! And the reception is going to be sooo much fun!! It is just all around going to be a great, romantic, perfect wedding!

I've decided to change my major from Religious Studies to Elementary Education. I have been debating auditioning for the School of Music, but decided against it. I've been working in Children's Church over the last month, and I've forgotten how much I love kids. I actually think I may want to be a Children's Minister someday. I dunno. I do know that I love kids and I really think that Elementary Ed is what I want to do. So, this is a good thing in a way. At least I have an idea as to what I want to do. I'm probably going to have to go to school an extra year or so, but I guess it's worth it in the end. I just hope this is the last time I change my mind about my major. It probably won't be...

Over the past few weeks, I've been expanding my musical horizons, if you will. I've been listening to a ton of new stuff and I love it! I've fallen in love with music in a way I've always wanted to. I could just sit and listen to music all day long! I've discovered so many new bands that I never knew existed, and I love them! It seems like I'm able to find a song for every mood that I'm in. I just can't really describe it...I just love music! Here's a list of the bands that I have discovered are absolutely amazing:

Matchbook Romance - totally my new favorite band. They are amazing!
Autopilot Off
Copeland - yes, they are totally and completely the most emo band I have ever heard, but I love them!
Jack Johnson
Josh Kelley - be still my heart... ;)
Motion City Soundtrack
Yellowcard - amazing
Over the Rhine - one word..WOW...big thanks goes out to Andrea for first introducing me to the wonderful music of Over the Rhine :)
Ryan Adams
Story of the Year
Sugarcult
The Killers
Graham Colton

Those are the ones that stick out in my mind as my new favorites, but I still have many more to listen to...

BBQ sandwiches from DQ rock!!! Mmmmmm....

I've decided that this summer is the last summer working in the fast food business. Four years is long enough, almost too long...

Excited about the Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, and Dave Crowder Band concert I'm going to next week. Should be tons of fun.

I need to make an appointment to get my oil changed in my car.

I have one week to plan a bridal shower. This should be fun...

I need to start exercising again.

My little brother Dusty got a job at DQ and should be starting in the next week or so. I hope I get to train him. I hope we don't end up hating each other after working together. Not quite sure how this will go...

I love my friends...

Sometimes I wonder why I do some of the things I do. I do some things that I know I shouldn't do, and I don't do the things I know I should do enough. This needs to change...

Am I selfish?...

Just a little over two weeks till my mission trip to Venezuela. I'm getting a little nervous, but still excited. I have a lot to get ready over the next two weeks. Please keep me and the five other people going with me in your prayers from July 23 to August 2. :)

I love metrosexuals...

I love the fact that no matter how crappy things get in my life, I have the hope and assurance that God already has it all worked out. He's going to take all this stuff and work it all out. I just need to put my faith and trust in him. I actually taught this in Children's Church the other week and I ended up kinda preaching to myself. If I had things my way, I would change a lot of things in my life. But, God's in control, and I'm cool with that. His way isn't necessarily they way that I would like things to go, but I guess He knows better than I. ;) But seriously, God has a plan for me, a plan to prosper, not to harm me, a plan to give me a hope and a future. And I like knowing that.:)

This has turned out to be a really long post of random thoughts...Well, I guess it's time to go. Leave a comment if you're feeling saucy. ;)

Found this quiz on Aubrey's blog. Lately, I have just been in some sort of rutt. I just don't feel right. I just feel sort of lost and weary. I know it's probably just because I'm home and missing college and what not, but I just feel weird. I just feel like....lost. I know that God has a plan for me. I know that he knows who I'm gonna marry, what I'm gonna major in, what job I'm gonna get, etc. I just wish I had some clue to those answers. I've really been working on trust lately in my life. As most of you know, a lot of stuff has been going on in my life lately. Trust is the only thing I can cling to. I just know that God has a plan for me, and I know that I'm slowly kind of starting to follow that plan, I think. I know this doesn't make much sense. I really can't describe how I feel. I was talking to Sarah Blair tonight and she mentioned that she just feels like she doesn't have a life anymore. I agree. I just feel so...weird. I can't describe it. Anyway...back to the song. I love this song because it kinda explains how I feel. When I'm down and my heart is burdened, the only person I can turn to is God; the only thing I want/can do is just pray, and I know that God will work everything out, no matter what it has to do with. Whether it is with my relationships, job, school, trying to figure out a major, anything, I know that He has it all worked out. I just really wish He would let me in on the secret. ;) God raises me up to stand on mountains and he raises me up to walk on the stormy seas of life, and boy, can those seas get stormy. I'm strong through Christ (Phil. 4:13) and God DEFINITELY raises me up to more that I can be. I'd be nothing without Him, absolutely nothing. Now, I don't know if Josh Groban is singing this song to God or not, but that is how I interpret it. So, even though I have NO idea what God has planned for me in my life, I'll just keep trekking along, and He will reveal it all to me in His time.

Anyway, enough with my inspirational or whatever talk. ;) Not much is going on in my life right now. I started back at DQ this week. It's been ok so far. I've really missed the people. It's been fun being able to catch up with everyone. Some of my B-town boys (Jason P., Jason K., and Chris G.) came and visited the great town of Sullivan yesterday. They were thoroughly impressed. ;) Thanks for coming to see me, guys!!!! I hope Sullivan didn't bore you too much. :) BTW, Jason K. is in love with H****** F******!!! :) LOL! Anyway, the night was pretty fun. We had dinner at Bobe's and then came back to my place and watched Goldmember. You guys should come visit more often! Liven up Sullivan life a little bit!! :)

Well, I need to get to bed. I don't have to work tomorrow :):) so I plan on spending most of the day outside as long as it doesn't rain. Maybe go for a run/walk and wash my car. I just want to enjoy the nice weather. Maybe I'll even help my dad out with the pool and backyard! Sounds like a plan. :) Well, everyone, have a nice day/night depending on when you read this. I love you all!!!

I just found out that you can leave messages for me! I decided to add that feature to my blog, so leave me a message letting me know how much you enjoy my intellectual, inspirational blogging!;)

Quote of the Day:
"P. Sherman 42 Wallabee Way, Sydney" - Dorie from Finding Nemo (my new favorite movie!! :) )

Hello! That was interesting. As I was typing this, I had a stray cat break through the screen in my window and run around my room! That was funny. It was crying and probably hungry and/or thirsty. It probably has no home and just wanted to be pet...*sigh*. I'm such a sucker for animals, especially stray ones. I just want to take them in and feed them and make them feel loved....ok, I'm stupid, I know! :) Anyway...back to the blogging.

Yesterday was a very sad day for me. I had to say good-bye, or shall I say "So long" to Steve. I'm so happy, yet so sad. I found out Tuesday night that Steve got a reporting job at a CBS station in Bryan/College Station, Texas. I'm soooo proud of him! The only bad part is that he has to leave on Monday!! He was supposed to be here the whole summer! So, I decided Tuesday night that I was gonna go to Bloomington to take care of a few things and hang out with everyone.

I got into town around 1 and ate lunch at Applebees with Eric and Jason. Or shall I say Eric and I ate at Applebees and Jason ate his Chicken Teriaki sandwhich from Penn Station. :) It was a good time. Then we went to the house and helped Bill out with some stuff, cleaning out the fridges, of which Eric did a grand job :) and Jason and I helped Bill take some stuff to Backstreet Mission. Later on, Jason and I went to TIS and I tried to kill us by almost getting in a wreck (this will be the first of two times I was almost in a wreck in one day!). Anyway, after calming down in the car for a few mintues, we went to TIS and then to Target.

I then took Jason home and headed to 482 to hang out with what I thought would be only Steve. To my surprise, the whole gang was there, Chris, Cody, Cory, Steve, Rachel, and Elyna. We all went and met the Sopers at MCL for dinner. (mmmm...chicken n noodles:) ) After dinner we headed over to the Soper's new place to hang out for a while. After hanging there for a while, the dreaded part of the evening came...I had to say good-bye to Steve. :(

He walked me out to my car and gave me a hug. He thanked me for "brightening up their part of the neighborhood" and told me that I was "never just Marc's Girlfriend." And the tears started flowing. :( We hugged and I almost didn't want to let go because I knew I wouldn't hug him again for a long time. We said our good-byes, and with tear filled eyes, I started driving away. *tearing up as I'm talking about this* :( Steve is just such an awesome guy, and I know that he is going to be great in Texas. I'm almost jealous of all those female reporters! They are darn lucky to get Steve!!! Even though I am sad, I know that Steve and I will meet again and we've always got AIM and unlimited cell phone minutes!! I love you, Steve, and I'll miss you!!!!

After leaving the Soper's, I head back into town to hang out with Jason and Eric for a little while longer before I headed home. We just hung out at Eric's place and watched Finding Nemo (GREAT MOVIE!!) I then headed home.

Today was filled with driving all over Sullivan to run errands. Nothing to interesting happened today. I'm excited about tomorrow. I'm heading to Crawfordsville to visit Mike and see his new apartment. We get to eat at The Beef House!!! If you've never heard of it, it is an AMAZING steak house!! I'm excited to see Mike; I haven't seen him since late February. I hear he's doing well. He got a job at UPS and is liking it. He and Andrea are supposed to be getting a cat some time soon. Mike's naming it Frederick. I'm excited about their wedding and Andrea becoming my sister-in-law; she is such a sweetheart!! Well, I think I'm gonna head on to bed. I have to get up semi-early tomorrow. Have a good day everyone and I love you all!!

Hello everyone! Like the new look? I do! After seeing Steve's new look, I decided to follow suit and change mine.

Well, I'm at home now in good ol' Sullivan, In. This town is as boring as usual. It has been nice to be home. I've been busy since the moment I walked in the door on Saturday. My room has been getting a make-over, and boy does it look pretty! :) I'm about half way done. I think I should be able to finish it up today. So that is pretty much what my time here at home so far has consisted of, other than spending some quality time with the fam.

I've decided that it is harder to move back in that I thought it would be. It's so different now. Bloomington has become more of a home to me than Sullivan over the past 8 months. It still seems like I should be packing up to head back to B-Town sometime soon. It's still kinda hard to believe that I am here for the summer. I already miss everyone in Bloomington. Watching RAW by myself last night kinda stunk. It really made me miss the wrestling gang. But, I'll be back in B-Town before I know it!

I was going to make this really long entry and reminisce on all the great memories of my first year at college because Lord knows that there has been several! But, instead I decided to do something a little different. Instead, I just want to send a big THANK YOU out to everyone who helped make this year an amazing freshman year for me. This most likely includes everyone who reads this!

482 Gang: You guys are awesome, every one of you. Thanks again for everything. For taking me in as "Marc's Girlfriend" and accepting me so now I am just "Kim." All four of you guys hold a special place in my heart.
Robby - You're like my second big brother! Thanks for always being there. Thanks for just being you!!
Cory - Thanks for everything, especially as of lately. Thanks for always listening to me gripe. I promise that I will play guitar and sing a song for you someday. Someday....;)
Steve - you are one of the greatest guys I know. You are kind, sweet, and such a gentleman. Thanks for everything. I'm really gonna miss you next year. I'll miss tanning, I'll miss your "What?" I'll miss "Obviously this man has been seriously injured..." Good luck in all you do. I know that you will find a great job somewhere. Who could turn you down??
Kyle - I know we haven't gotten to know each other real well this year, but I do still consider you and Aubrey some of my closest friends. Even though you can be a pain sometimes with all your little, excuse my language, smart-ass comments, you still will be greatly missed. You're a great guy. Good luck in all you do.

CSF gang: This includes everyone in and out of the house. All you CSFers are great!! I've really loved being able to get to know everyone of you. I'm not even sure exactly how many of you read this blog, but oh well. You guys are awesome!
April - you were a great roommate first semester. Thanks for all of your help and advice with everything this year. You're one of the greatest girls I know!
Ashley - you are were an awesome roommate as well. I really enjoyed being able to get to know you more this semester since it was just us in the room. I'm really gonna miss you next year (and your couch! :) ). Good luck at IUPUI next year and have fun in Europe!!
Jenny E. - I'm SO excited about being roommates next year!! I can't wait till Venezuela, I know we're gonna have a blast! You're a great friend and I just really can't wait till next year so that I can get to know you more.
I've realized that I am going to be here all day if I go through all the CSF people who I love, so instead, I'm just gonna send a huge I LOVE YOU out to the entire CSF gang! Wilkey, Steph, Melissa, Eric, Jason K., Jason P., Andy, Andrew, Matt, Daniella, Jenny, Chris G....the list goes on, I think you all get the idea. :)

Chris: All I have to say is thanks for everything. I've really enjoyed getting to know you this year. You've become a really great friend. Thanks for always listening to me. Thanks for all the advice you've given me. Just thanks for everything. :)

Cody: Another BIG thanks goes out to you. Thanks for all the advice you've given this year. Thanks for always helping me to keep a Godly out look on things. I'm gonna miss you not being around all the time next year. Who's gonna spear me when I least expect it??!! :) God Bless, Cody.

Last, but certainly not least, Marc: I don't even know where to begin my thanks to you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't even know all of these wonderful people that I have been speaking about. I know that things are kinda rocky with us right now, and I don't really know what is going to happen with that whole situation, but I just want you to know a few things. First off, you are my best friend. You are the one I always want to talk to when anything good or bad goes on in my life. That is why it is so hard right now. I hope that someday, no matter what happens between us, I can still have that friendship. Secondly, you were a great boyfriend. Thank you for every rose, every kiss, every hug, and every "I love you." I know that they came from the bottom of your heart. Don't think that this break up is your fault. I've tried to explain it before, but I can't. I don't doubt your love for me or how much you care about me. Thirdly, I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the pain I'm causing you, I just hope that you will someday forgive me. I don't know what the future hold for us. Please just remember that I will always love you. I will always care about you. I will always remember all the good, and bad, times we had together. I will always cherish the past 28 months. Please believe me when I say I'm sorry. Please forgive me if I don't call or talk to you for a while. I need some time and I thank you for giving me the time that I need, even though it is hurting you. I hope that you are felling better and that summer school goes well for you. Thank you for everything. I am the person that I am today because of you.

*Sigh* Well, now that I got all that off my chest, I need to go finish up my room. I've got a lot of cleaning and vacuuming to do. I hope everyone is doing well, and I already miss everyone. Have a great day and a great summer!!

I love you all!!!! :)

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Peter: Have they ever shown him doing somebody in and then feeding on him?
Brian: You're asking if they've ever done a Sesame Street in which the Count kills somebody and then sucks their blood for sustenance.
Peter: Yeah.
Brian: No, they've never done that.

Hello Everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates; I've been pretty busy with work and finals. Well, yesterday I had my first two finals, both of which I feel went rather well. I studied all day Sunday for them until about 1 a.m. I then went to bed and got up at 6 to go to Steak n Shake for breakfast with Marc before we went to our 8 a.m. final. So, needless to say, at 11:45 when I walked out of my Spanish final after being in final for almost 4 hours straight, I felt wonderful!!! I only have one final left, and it isn't until Thursday night, so I've got plenty of time to study.

After my finals yesterday, I came home and took a nap and then went to North Daviees with Marc to watch Michael's track meet. It was fun, but a little awkward around his parents given the current situation. I was excited to witness all that Marc has talked about referring to Michael. That boy is a beast!!! He is definitely going to kick butt when he gets to high school!! After the meet, we went to DQ for dinner and then headed to 482 for my last Monday night with the guys for the summer. :( I'm going to miss Monday nights. Watching wrestling all by myself in my room just isn't going to be the same. *sigh* I'm sure I'll be down every now and then over the summer, so that will be good. After RAW, I came home and Ashley, Mary, and ERIC ( :) ) were hanging out in my room. We talked for a while and then watched Kill Bill Vol. 1. Pretty good movie, not as gruesome as everyone made it out to be. It was bloody, but very fake blood. I got to bed around 2:30 or 3 and got up at 11. I went on a walk today which was nice. It is sooo gorgeous outside. I love springtime!!! :) I love the sunshine and the cool breeze. *sigh* Anyway....

Well, the time has come to start thinking about packing, something I really don't want to do. I've just got too much crap!! Here and at home. Plus, it's just kinda sad to think about leaving. I've had such a great year, and I have so many great memories. It's sad, but I'll only be gone for 4 months and then I'll be back and I'll get to meet new people and create new memories.

I've discovered that I am becoming more and more confused everyday. The past couple days have been really nice with Marc. On Friday, he initiated "radio silence," but that only lasted a day, which I am happy about. We talked a little on Saturday and then studied together all day Sunday and we hung out yesterday. I've had a lot of fun with him the past few days. That makes me wonder why I am doing what I am doing. I still can't help to think that no matter how much fun I am having with him and how much I enjoy being with him, I still need to take this time away from him. I'm not exactly sure why, I just know that I have to. I guess throughout this break, I'll just figure out how much Marc really means to me. I dunno. It's so confusing and hard to explain, so I don't blame you if you don't understand. If you pray, just keep this situation in your prayers if you would; I would really appreciate it. :) Well, I need to go study for my American History final now, and then get ready for work. Have a great day everyone, and enjoy the sunshine!!!

Love,

No Family Guy Quote today :( Decided to go for a quote from a great book:

"A man's (or woman's :) ) steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?"
Proverbs 20:24

This a great verse for me right now. Most of you know of the events that have occurred over the past few days, so I won't bore you with stuff that you already know. Some people wonder why I did what I did, and so do I, sometimes. My main reasoning is just that I need some time away. Everything that I've known over the past almost two and a half years has been Marc. Now I'm not saying that that is a bad thing, it's just that I think I've lost Kim along the way. I just need this time in order to figure out who I am and, most importantly, what I want. I have no idea what the future holds for me, and that scares me to death. I don't know where I'll be in a year, a month, or even a few weeks. All I know is that after I move home for the summer, my life is going to be completely different. Everything that I've known over the past two years is going to be gone. Everything is going to be different. Mo matter how much I would love to just hold him and tell him everything is going to be okay, I know I can't do that. I need this time, and I think he needs it, too. I just need to figure out who I am and what I want, with life, love, and just everything in general. I don't really know how to explain how I feel, and I completely understand if people don't get it (although I know one special girl out there knows what I'm going through;) Love ya!). I'm just really confused about everything right now. I just need some time to get my feeling straight. Whether that time is a few weeks, months, or even years, I dunno. Anyway, so that is my current thought on that topic. If you couldn't tell, I really don't know what I'm going to do, or how I feel, hence why the above verse is to good for me. The Big Guy Upstairs has it all under control, and I am totally trusting him.

Anyway, on a lighter note, I had my final performance for my voice class tonight. It went pretty well, better than expected. I am now all finished with that class, which kinda stinks because it was my favorite one. That means one down and four more to go. The next few days are gonna be pretty stressfull with papers and finals (great fun). I hope everyone is doing well, and don't stress too much about finals. Just a week and a half and it will all be over. Have a good night/day everyone. :)

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Eliza: Ew, your breath smells like kitty litter.
Stewie: I was curious!

*Taking a break from horrible W131 paper*
You know what, I have come to the conclusion that W131 is not pointless. Even though I hate this class more than anything else on the earth, I have learned many things from it that I can apply to other papers that I write. But, no matter how much I learn from this class, I still think the cultural myths and stereotypes are a bunch of poo! Who cares about the cultural myths and stereotypes that are seen in Charlie's Angels, Tommy Hilfiger ads, or any other magazine ad!!!! Why can't we just write research papers or compare and contrast papers?? Why all this cultural analysis stuff with racism, femininity, and homosexuality?? WHO CARES???!!! Anyway, now that I have all of that out of my system...

Two weeks, yes, two weeks of actual classes left. Oh how the heart is happy! :) I'm getting to the point where I am just too anxious for classes to get over that I don't care about my work (which is not good). Take for example today. Right now, I should be working on the rough draft of a 6-8 page (right now I have about 2 1/2 pages) paper which is due tomorrow. Instead, I have distracted myself for about the past hour or so, and now I am doing this. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get it done.

Nothing too exciting is going on in my life right now. I went to Peter Grimes last night (an opera). It was pretty good, kinda boring at times, but pretty good all around. Tonight we have a pay-per-view at the guys place. I'm excited about going to it and being able to hang out with everyone. I've realized that I only have a few more weeks of hanging out with the gang. Yes, they will all still be here this summer, granted Steve's parents agree with him staying, but I won't be. I'm sure I'll be up a couple of times a week, but I won't be around to just hang out whenever. I love my friends here. This time last year I would not have dreamt in my wildest dreams that I would have the group of friends that I have here. This time last year, I was just "Marc's girlfriend" who showed up every now and then for a PPV. I'm happy that I now have formed personal friendships with everyone. I'm no longer just "Marc's girlfriend." I'm now just "Kim." The guys are no longer just Marc's friends who I hang out and watch wrestling with. They are now my friends, too. I've gotten to know everyone so well this year. Cory, Rob, Chris - you are all just like my big brothers who I can laugh and joke around with all the time. Cody - you have been a real blessing this year. You are one of the kindest guys I know, always there for me and Marc when we are in need of a "counseling session." :) I'm going to miss your random spears next year. :) Steve - You are also one of the nicest guys I know. It's gonna be weird (and sad) not having you around next year. Who am I gonna go tanning with?:) You are going to be greatly missed next year, but I know that you must move on in order to work for ESPN someday ;) Lastly, Marc, thank you for being you and for bringing me along to all the wrestling activities so that I could meet all these wonderful people. You know I love you babe.:) I just want to say that I love you all!!! Thank you for taking me in and including me in your group of friends. I have a lot of great memories with all you guys this year, and I'm sure next year is going to be just as memorable with Marc, Chris, Cory, and Rob living together. (oh, the possibilities) :)

Well, I guess I better end all this sappiness and get back to work. Have a great day everyone, and I love you!!!

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Stewie's Letter: Dear stupid dog, I've gone to live with the children on jolly farm. Good bye forever. Stewie.
P.S. I never got a chance to return that sweater Lois gave me for Christmas. Umm, I left the receipt on top of my bureau. I'm probably over the thirty day return limit but umm… I'm sure if you make a fuss they'll at least give you a store credit or something. Umm.. It's actually not a horrible sweater. It's... It's just I can't imagine when I would ever wear it you know? Oh I also left a button on the bureau. I'm not sure what it goes to, but I can never bring myself to throw a button away. I know that as soon as I do I'll find the garment it goes to and then it'll… Wait a minute, could it be from the sweater? Did that sweater have buttons? Hmm… Well I should wrap this up before I start to ramble. Again, goodbye forever.
P.P.S. You know, it might be a little chilly in London, I'm actually going to take the sweater.

Well, today was a pretty good day. I went to class, worked out, tanned, the usual M,W,F routine. I didn't have to work tonight which was great, so I was able to nap and get some homework done. So far this week has been alright. Not having classes on Monday was really nice. I didn't want to go on Tuesday. Well, as most of you probably already know from Marc or Steve's blogs, we didn't get to see Warrior on Monday. It ends up that he spoke on Tuesday, not Monday. It still made for a fun evening, though. After hanging around Woodburn 120 for a while and after Steve vandalized the chalkboard :) we (me, Marc, Chris, Cody, and Steve) headed to MCL for a scrumptious dinner. Then we headed to 482 for wrestling.

I worked Tuesday night, so not much happened. Tuesday was a pretty boring day, much like today.

Tomorrow should be a wonderful day. It is supposed to be really warm. I don't have a lot to do tomorrow, so it will most likely be a pretty relaxed afternoon. Our awesome cook and wonderful secretary have decided to cook us house rez's steak and grilled chicken on the grill tomorrow night for dinner! I am looking forward to it.:) Then I've got Encounter tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to tomorrow being just a nice, pleasant day. I'll let you know tomorrow night if my day worked out how I hoped it would! Have a good day everyone and I love you all!!

PS: Cory, look who's blog I have a link to now!!!:)

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Brian: You want some ice cream?
Stewie: No.
Brian: You want some McDonalds?
Stewie: No.
Brian: You want to take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes?
Stewie: Yeah.
Brian: Okay, let's go and take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes.

Hello Everyone and Happy Easter!! I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I know I have. I love being home and being able to spend some time with the fam! :) I got home around 5:30 Friday night. Dad was the only one home so I was able to just sit and talk with him for a while. Mom and Grandma got home a little while later and we just hung out and talked. Mom made this amazing chicken for dinner. YUM YUM:) After dinner, we just hung out and talked for a while. We went to DQ for desert. YUM YUM again:) Saturday I went shopping with my sister, Stacey, and then went to a cantata with Marc. It was great as usual. This was my third year to go. It is always a nice way to celebrate Easter! I went back to Marc's house that night and celebrated Easter with his family. His mom, she's so sweet, got me a black "K" purse filled with travel sized accessories (Advil, band-aids, a brush, a lint roller, and chapstick). Sunday I got up and went to church and then did fun family Easter stuff all day.

I decided to skip my two classes tomorrow and stay home for one more day. Tonight I have to watch Charlie's Angel: Full Throttle for a paper for W131. Tomorrow, I am going to my old high school to search through the music files in order to find a song to do for my final song in my voice class. Then, I'm going to go eat lunch with Mom, Grandma, and all their church lady friends whom they eat lunch with every Monday. Then I'm gonna head back to Bloomington to work on some homework all afternoon.

I am just sooo sick of school!! I have loved being home and not having to worry about school. I can't wait for summer. I am going to miss Bloomington, though, the 482 gang, the house, and the independence. Most importantly, Marc. I don't think I am going to get to see him a lot this summer, and that stinks. I'm going to be really busy with work, children's church, and music stuff. I've decided that I am going to audition for the School of Music in the fall, so I have to work really hard on stuff this summer. I'll probably only get to see Marc about once or twice a week. It is going to be like old times for us again. It's gonna stink, but I know we can make it through it.

Well, my dad just went to bed, so I've got the living room to myself so that I can watch that movie. Goodnight everyone, and I hope everyone is doing well!!:)

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Chris: When I stick this army guy with the sharp bayonette up my nose, it tickles my brain. Hah hah hah ... ow. Oh, now I don't know math.

Well, today was a pretty boring day. I went to class and skipped working out. I had way too much stuff to do today, and I didn't feel to well. I came home and ate lunch. Good ol' chicken fingers and fries, yum yum. I love our cook!:) After lunch and laid down because my stomach hurt and I ended up falling asleep for about a half hour. I was awakened by a phone call from Marc. He asked me if I would like to join him and the guys and go to a political science rally/talk thing next Monday. First off, I couldn't figure out why he would call me and ask me this and not just wait till he talked to me next. Secondly, I could not figure out for the life of me why he and the guys wanted to go to a political science talk. More importantly, I didn't know why Marc thought I would want to join them. Mainly for the fact that I was still half asleep, I agreed. I figured if they guys were gonna make a get together out of it, I may as well go too. After a few moments, I became a little more aware and was really trying to figure out why they wanted to go to this. As far as I new, none of them had any interests in political science. Marc then told me that they were going to invite the speaker over to their place that night to watch wrestling with us. Now I became even more confused. Why in the world would they ask some political science guy to come watch wrestling?? Then, I asked Marc who the speaker was. His reply: "Oh, The Ultimate Warrior." WHAT??!! The Ultimate Warrior?? For those of you who don't know, The Ultimate Warrior is an old school wrestler. Now everything began to make sense!:) So, next monday, we are going to go listen to Warrior talk about political science, and then we are going to see if he would like to come watch wrestling with us. No matter what happens, it should be fun.

After that unusual conversation, I got in the shower and then started my afternoon of homework. Great fun! I did homework pretty much all afternoon, with a break to talk to Andrea, my future sister in law, and to do some scholarship searching. Then I went to dinner, took a little nap, and went to the guys' place for RAW. After RAW, Marc and I went to Taco Bell for some chat time since we didn't get to see each other much today. It was fun. I'd forgotten how good their cinnamon twists are!

Well, I've had my share of homework for the day, so I think I'm gonna head on to bed. I have three classes tomorrow, homework, and then Steak and Shake. Four more weeks!:) Goodnight everyone!!

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Stewie: You know, I rather like this God fellow. Very theatrical, you know. Pestilence here, a plague there. Omnipotence ... gotta get me some of that.

Hello! Well, I haven't updated for a while, so I will try to summarize my past four days into a not so long blog. So, here we go....

Thursday: Well, the big event of this day was performing my song. My morning started with me drinking that horrible Chamomile tea again. I tried putting honey into it, and that made it taste a little better, but it still wasn't that great. Creighton (my instructor) vocalized with me at the beginning of class to make sure I was able to sing. He said that I should be okay, so I sang. I didn't to a horrible job, but I could have done better. The main thing was that I wasn't able to practice the song a lot since I had been sick, so I wasn't very confident about it. Creighton ended up having me get up again after everyone was done performing to redo the high part of the song. He complimented me on how I got into the song. He said that I had good facial expressions and what not, and he said that I was "feeling" the song. So, all in all, the performance went fairly well. I'm excited for mynext and final song because I get to pick it out. I can pick anything, but Creighton suggests I do a song from a musical because we have to right a two page paper over the song. I'm just excited because I get to do something that I want to do, rather than all those stupid songs from our book. The rest of Thursday was pretty normal. I studied that afternoon and then went to Encounter that night. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Friday: Once again, a usual day. Went to class, ate lunch with Marc, worked out, came home, showered, napped, and went over to Marc's and cooked dinner before I went to work from 8-2. I got home from work around 2:30 or 3. I noticed that Marc's car was still at the house meaning that he and the gang had not returned from Hairbangers Ball yet. So, I decided to kill time downstairs and wait to see if they got home. Sure enough, they got back about ten minutes later. Marc and I hung out in the great room and he told me all about his first Hairbangers Ball experience (btw, if you would like to hear how his night went, just click on the link "Marc" on the right). I got to bed around 4.

Saturday: I got up around noon and just hung out. I did my chore and called my mom and talk to her for about two hours. After I got off the phone with her, I went to Marsh and got some nachos for lunch. I got home and ate lunch with Ashley as we were trying to figure out her outfit for the evening. She went to a ROTC banquet with Eric (a guy from CSF), so she had gone shopping and needed some fashion advice. We were both getting ready later on that evening, and I felt like a mom. I was helping her get ready and taking pictures of her and Eric. It was great fun. :) I ushered for the Singing Hoosiers show that evening. Surprisingly, it was a lot of fun. Everyone there was really nice, and the show was really good. After the show, I went to Marc's and watched TV for a while and then headed home to bed.

(Finally) Sunday: Today was a normal Sunday. I went to church and then went over to Marc's and ate some pizza for lunch. Then we watched Office Space , which I had never seen before. It was pretty funny, but not as funny as I thought it would be. After the movie, I went home to work on some homework. I talked to mom and Josh (friend from HS) for a little while. He is working on a song, and it is a duet and he wants me to sing with him on it. We are going to try to get together sometime over Easter weekend to practice. He seems really anxious for me to sing with him. He is an amazing songwriter, so that has me even more excited. We've talked about writing some stuff together. He keeps encouraging me to write more. I've only fully written one song, and any time I try to write, there's just nothing there. Maybe it will be easier working with him. I dunno, we'll see. I'm just exciting to start playing and singing again. I never make time to play my guitar anymore. I need to start playing more often. Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now because this blog is already tooooo long.

Well, that has been my past few days in a nutshell. Now it is time to get some sleep before classes tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!!

Current Mood:
Tired

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Lois: A flight attendant? Wow, that does sound exciting. What made you change your mind?
Peter: Just my desire to see you happy.
Lois: Aww .... (hugs peter)
Peter: And to exploit your hard labour for free travel and fun.
Lois: What?
Peter: Shhh ... I didn't say anything. Go to sleep crazy lady.

Hello. Today was a pretty boring day so this will probably be another boring entry. I did the usual M, W, F, routine: went to class, worked out, ate lunch, showered, etc. I went over to Marc's this afternoon to practice my song that I have to perform in my voice class tomorrow. I'm still dealing with my cold, so my voice isn't 100% yet. I tried the Chamomile tea today and all I have to say is "Ewwwwww!" That is the most disgusting stuff I have ever had. I am going to put some honey in the next cup I have, and hopefully it will taste better. I'm really worried about my performance tomorrow. My voice isn't that bad, but when I get nervous, it gets worse. I don't know why I get so nervous when I have to sing in front of people. I've been doing it for as long as I can remember, and I love it. I don't want to sound big-headed, but I love being in the spotlight, but even though I like it, it still scares me more than anything in the world. That is why I miss high school shows. I miss performing. I miss solos and dance routines. *Sigh* Good ol' Golden Arrow Singers!! Anyway, I think I am going to do pretty bad on my song tomorrow, but at least I have an excuse. I'll let you all know tomorrow how it goes.

One great thing happened today! You may or may not recall the horrible paper that I wrote for W131 that I turned in last Friday. I hated this paper. I worked on it for hours, and I thought I did the whole thing wrong. I was praying for a B on that paper. Well, I got the paper back today in class, and I got a 160/170 (about 95%)!!!! I was so excited!! That was probably the high light of my day!

After practicing my song for a little while over at Marc's, I had to go to work. Work was okay tonight. It was mainly just really slow. I felt like I was there for 24 hours. I don't work tomorrow, and I am very excited about that. I think tomorrow is going to be a great day. I have class from 11:15 to 1:10. After class, I plan on coming home and taking a much needed nap. I don't really have a lot of homework to do other than a 2 page thing for W131 which should be pretty easy. So, I think I am just going to take it easy tomorrow. I hope my day goes according to my plan and it is a good day.

I got an email from my future sister in law tonight. I love her! She is sooo sweet and I can't wait to have her in our family, even though she already is, just not legally! :) She sent me a picture of her wedding dress (which is gorgeous! and it only cost $90!!) She said that she wanted to get together over the summer and go shopping for wedding stuff! I'm so excited! I love weddings! I still can't believe that my brother is getting married. Careless, immature Mike getting married. It is kind of a scary thought! (Just kidding!) I know that he will be a great husband and that he and Andrea will be very happy!!

Well, this has been way too long, so I think I will end it here. I need to get some rest before my day tomorrow. I hope you all have a good day today!!

Current Mood:
Happy, but tired

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
(at the Child Protective Services Office right after seeing a man pull a baby out of a filing cabinet in the office)
Chris: Is this where babies come from?
Brian: Um, yes it is.
Chris (yelling at Lois): You said I came out of your vagina!!!

(Okay, if you haven't seen this episode, this probably is not funny to you at all. You gotta see the show!)

Hello everyone! I really should be studying for the Spanish test that I have tomorrow rather than writing this, but oh well. Today was a pretty decent day. I went to my three classes. History was boring as usual. I went to my voice class and found out that we have to perform our songs on Thrusday. I didn't think we were performing until Tuesday! That means that I have a lot of practicing to do tomorrow. My voice still is not completely back either. My instructor instructed (haha) me to drink lots of water and Chamomile tea, continue to take Advil Cold and Sinus and to take some kind of throat drops. I think he said tussins? I'm not sure. I really hope that my voice is better by Thursday so that I can sing.

Anyway, after class, I came home and was, once again, very unproductive. I ate a huge bowl of Baked Potato with Cheddar and Bacon Bits soup (mmmmmm) and then did nothing. I turned on the TV to watch as I ate lunch, and it didn't get turned off until I went to work. Oh well, I got off work early, so I was able to study then. After work, I just studied for a little bit and then I actually had to go back to SnS because I told one of my co-workers that I would take her home. Even though I got off early, I figured I could still take her home. After taking her home, I stopped by Marc's for a little bit. It was fun. We were both just being really stupid. Actually, I was being really stupid and Marc and Cody were laughing at me!! It was great fun. I hadn't laughed that much in a while.

Well, I'm off to bed. I have to get up in about six hours to go take my Spanish test (yay). I hope everyone is doing well. Goodnight all!:)

Current Mood:
Tired with a belly ache

"Family Guy" Quote of the Day:
Lois: I'm upset because you never listen to me. Well, it is still a good day, I just have an upset tummy. I went to class and took a Spanish test (went good) and an Intro to New Testament test (went not so good). The test wasn't that hard, I just (just like my history test) didn't have enought time to finish it. Well, I did finish it, but I was unable to answer the "short" answer questions to the best of my ability because of the lack of time. Speaking of the "short" answer questions, what kind of a professor defines his "short" answer questions as being two to three paragraphs long!!?? Oh well. After class, I went and worked out, ate lunch, and then went tanning (sorry again Steve). My afternoon was pretty unproductive. I practiced my song for my voice class and then played guitar for a while. At 6, the gang met over at 482 and we all went to Texas Roadhouse for Aubrey's birthday, good times. By the time we got back to they guys' place, it was time for RAW.

I am definitely ready for this semester to be over. I really am just ready to go back home for a while. Although I know that I'll only be home for a few weeks before I start counting down the days to come back to B-town. I just miss my family. I cried twice last week over them. (I know, I'm a baby!) First it was over my niece, Madi. She turned 4 while I was on spring break. She's getting so big. I can't believe she is 4 already. She needs to just quit growing! I also cried in the middle of Chili's. I did something, and Marc mentioned that I was acting like my mom. I just replied by stating that I missed my mom, and I shed a few tears! I dunno why I am so stupid about this. I guess it's just because I grew up in such a tight home. My family means so much to me, and they always have. Until this year, I had never been away from my parents for more than a week or two. I'm just a cheesy, stupid little girl at heart who still wants her mommy and daddy to say I love you and give her a kiss goodnight every night. Is that wrong? I think I am allowed to do that my first year away from home, don't you? :)

This weekend was pretty good. Saturday night was the Decades Dance Party. It was tons of fun. Marc dressed up like Elvis and performed two songs for everyone. (Lip syncing, that is) It was a great night filled with fun and fellowship. (and dancing around the great room, making complete fools out of ourselves!!) My visit with Dusty, Brad, and Josh was nice. I mainly just got to hang out with them at the party, which I don't think they were enjoying too much since they didn't know anyone. It was nice being able to see some people from home.

Well, I think that's all for today. I'm super tired so I should get some rest. I've got another fun filled day of classes, homework, and Steak n Shake to get ready for! I hope everyone has a great day!!

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Stewie: Let me guess, you picked out yet another colorful box with a crank that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! big shock, a jack pops out and you laugh and the kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside.

Hello everyone!! Today was pretty good day. I went to class again from 8-11 and then I worked out till 12:30. As I was leaving the SRSC, it began to rain, not fun. I got to the first bus stop on my way home and waited for a few minutes. No bus came, so I decided to just continue walking to the next stop. Of course, right as I was directly in between both stops, a bus comes by. I try to hurry to the next stop, but I missed it. So, I continue to walk...and walk...and walk. Finally, I get almost to the last bus stop before the extension and a bus is coming. I run to get to the stop, but the driver doesn't see me and drives off. :( However, luckily there was a long line at the stop sign, so I was able to run up to the bus and the driver let me on. Oh, the joys of the IU bus system.:)

When I got home, I ate lunch, took a shower, and did laundry. After I put my clothes in the dryer, I decided to take a nap. I took a VERY nice two hour nap. Around 6 or 6:30, Dusty, Brad, and Josh showed up. I gave them the tour of the house and got them settled in. As they were leaving, I got a phone call saying I was needed at work as soon as possible. So, I ended up going into work about 45 minutes early. Work was alright. We were REALLY busy the whole time. Right now, my body is completely dead, but my mind is still racing, hence why I am typing this instead of going to bed. The busyness was worth it in the end because I made around $95-100 in about six hours. Can't beat that.

All in all, today was a pretty decent day. Tomorrow should be fun. I plan on sleeping in until around 12 or 1. I don't know what Dusty and the guys' plans are for tomorrow. Tomorrow night is the CSF Decade Dance party!! I can't wait!! Well, I think I'm about ready to go to bed now. I hope everyone is doing well!! Goodnight.:)

Current Mood:
Brain Fried

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Peter: [writing letter] Dear MacGuyver, Enclosed is a rubber band, a paper clip, and a drinking straw. Please save my dog.

Hello all. Today has been a very tiring day, and I can't believe I am even staying up to type this. I went to my history class this morning in which I had a horrible test. I'm praying that I got a C on it. I still don't understand why I didn't just drop this class. It would have made my life a whole lot easier. The test consisted of two huge essay questions and five identifications. I new the material, but there just wasnt' enough time to write everything. We only had about 40 minutes to do everything. Needless to say, it was not very fun.

Despite the horrible test, my day was brightened afterwards. I surprised Marc and was waiting for him outsitde of his class. We went and ate lunch at Wendy's together. I tell you what, things have been so great with us lately. Marc has been in such a great mood, and so have I. We're able to just hang out, talk, and laugh together like we used to always do. I think I've fallen in love with him all over again over the past couple of days. *Sigh*

Afer lunch, Marc took me home and I began my hours of work on this terrible terrible paper that is due tomorrow. I worked on it for about two hours and then went out to Texas Roadhouse with Marc and Chris (which was absolutely delicious as always). After dinner, I came home and called my mom and talked to her for a while. I really miss my mom and dad. I definitely need to call home more often. Then I went to Encounter, and after that, I came back upstairs to my room and worked on the paper for another two hours or so. I am finally done with it. I think it is the absolute worse paper I have ever written, but it is over now, so that is good.

Is it just me, or does this semester just absolutely stink??!! Almost everyone I have talked to is having about as horrible of a semester as I am. I am just ready for it to be over.

Well, I need to go to bed. Tomorrow should be a good day. I'm going to class, working out, and then tanning. My brother, Dusty, and two of his friends are coming to Bloomington for the weekend, so I will be expecting them sometime tomorrow afternoon. Other than that, I plan on taking a nice nap before I have to go to work from 8 pm to 2 am. (I know, third shift again) I don't think it will be too bad because we are the busiest during those hours so I should make lots of money. Well, I hope everyone has a good night/day!

Family Guy Quote of the Day:
Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. I went to class from 8-11, worked out, ate lunch, did laundry, studied for my history test which I have tomorrow, and went to work from 5-10. Pretty exciting, huh?:)

I still cannot figure out why I decided to take American history this semester. I hate history; I always have! I guess I just thought that it would be more interesting or something now that it was college American history. Nope, it still sucks. I have a test in that class tomorrow which is all essay. (I hate essay tests.) I really need to get at least a B on this test in order to keep my grade up. I tell you what, this semester has just totally stunk when it comes to grades. I can't wait until this semester is over.....6 more weeks!:)

Other than school, life has been pretty good. I'm finally getting decent hours at Steak n Shake again. Marc and I are doing very well. He has been in such a great mood the past few days. I love it when he is in a good mood. I just love seeing him happy, laughing, smiling, *sigh*. Ok, I'll shut up now.:) I'm feeling better, so that is good. My cold is almost gone. Well, I'm just blabbing about nothing in particular, so I am going to close for tonight and attempt to go back to my studying. Hey, I can look at it in a good way: in 12 hours, I'll be all done with my test. But then I just have to come home and write a 5 page paper that is due on Friday. Don't ya just love homework! Although I do have something to look forward to. Chris is taking me out to Texas Roadhouse tomorrow night as a thank you for buying his ticket to the RAW house show last month. Isn't he nice!!:) Well, I'm off to study. I hope everyone has a good night or day, whenever you read this.

"Family Guy" quote of the day: "I'm gonna turn you into poo!"

Well, today has been a pretty boring day. I woke up at 6:45 to get ready for class. I didn't sleep very well last night. I was up all night coughing and feeling like I was gonna be sick. I think I may have gotten two or three good hours of sleep. So, when my alarm went off this morning, I definitely did not feel like getting up. I have felt pretty bad all day. Well, not really bad, just kinda blah. I think I've gotten worse throughout the day with coughing, sneezing, running nose, all that fun stuff. I got some medicine tonight so hopefully I will be feeling better by tomorrow. I'm supposed to meet with my voice instructor tomorrow to work on a song, but I can't really sing. That proposes a problem and will probably result in a pretty pointless private voice lesson. Oh well, not much I can do.

After classes today, I did some homework and played guitar for a little bit. I hadn't played my guitar in sooo long. I learned some new chords which is always good. I have to force myself to practice bar chords!! Anyway, I began to feel worse so I took a break. The break included two episodes of Dawson's Creek and a half hour nap. Thanks to my good friend Brooke, I am now addicted to Dawson't Creek. It really is a great show. I am now saddened because I only have one episode left on my DVD set of season two. What am I going to watch now during my moments of laziness?! I know that the last episode is going to leave me wanting more, so I may just have to go buy season three!!:)

Well, that was pretty much the extent of my not so exciting day today. I went over to the guys' place as usual to watch RAW which was a pretty good show, kinda confusing, but good. Now I am off to load up on some Tylenol Cold and attempt to get a good night's rest. Have a good day everyone!!:)

"Family Guy" quote of the day:
"Tom! Tom Bosley!"

Well, it seems that all my friend's have blogs, so I figured, what the heck, I may as well start one as well! :)

Well, today we got back from D.C. around 2:30. This spring break was by far the abosolute BEST break ever!! I don't think I have ever had so much fun in my entire life. I'm not going to go into too much detail about the week other than the fact that it was tons of fun. We went to NY and stayed with Steve's aunt and uncle and toured the city and what not. Oh yeah, we also went to this little event called Wrestlemania. You may or may not have ever heard of it, but it was AWESOME!!!!:) On Tuesday, we headed to D.C., and we stayed with Steve's mom and dad. We spent three days touring the city and seeing all the sites. It was tons of fun as well. I have definitely decided that my family has to go on a family vacation to D.C. so that my dad can see everything. I know he would love it! He is such a history buff and I know that he would have a story for every memorial we went to. I can't wait to go to D.C. with him some day. Friday we had a party for Steve's birthday. It was a lot of fun. Cody, Marc, and I got to meet some of Steve's family's friends. They were all really nice. We started back on the road on Saturday to head back to B-town. Long drive = Lots of sleeping for "lil Kim" as Cody would say!:) So, that is our trip in a nutshell!

I did a lot of thinking this week just about life and where I am heading. I have decided that I think I know what I want to do, but I don't what to do what I am going to have to do in order to do what I want to do. That was a very odd and confusing sentence. Let me explain...I have decided that I do still really want to pursue a career in music. I really want to be a music teacher some day. It all started with my mom telling me how horrible my old high school's spring show was this past weekend. I just know that I could put on some great shows some day. So, now that I am pretty sure of what I want to do, I now just have to major in music. Well, as most of my fellow IU Hoosiers now, the IU School of Music is not that easy to get into. I think I read one day that only ten percent of the people who audition actually get in. TEN PERCENT!! I really don't think that I would be included in that ten percent.....but, there's no harm in trying. So, I've decided to go ahead and audition for the School of Music in the fall and just see what happens. If I don't get in, I am proposed with quite a big problem. I love IU. I love the university, I love the people, and I love my CSF house!!! I really don't want to have to leave and go somewhere else, but I also know that if I am going to pursue music, I am most likely going to have to, which really stinks. Plus, what is going to happen with me and Marc if I have to go somewhere else? We went the first year and a half of our relationship being and hour or so apart, so I guess we could do it again. I dunno. I do know that God has a plan for me and my life. I know that if He wants me to stay at IU, He will provide a miracle and let me get accepted to the School of Music.

I also know that if I have to go to another school in order to major in music, He has a plan for me there, too. I just have to trust Him.

Well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed my first posting on my new blog. I'll try to keep this updated as much as possible.
