"Family Guy" quote of the day:
"Tom! Tom Bosley!"
Well, it seems that all my friend's have blogs, so I figured, what the heck, I may as well start one as well! :)
Well, today we got back from D.C. around 2:30. This spring break was by far the abosolute BEST break ever!! I don't think I have ever had so much fun in my entire life. I'm not going to go into too much detail about the week other than the fact that it was tons of fun. We went to NY and stayed with Steve's aunt and uncle and toured the city and what not. Oh yeah, we also went to this little event called Wrestlemania. You may or may not have ever heard of it, but it was AWESOME!!!!:) On Tuesday, we headed to D.C., and we stayed with Steve's mom and dad. We spent three days touring the city and seeing all the sites. It was tons of fun as well. I have definitely decided that my family has to go on a family vacation to D.C. so that my dad can see everything. I know he would love it! He is such a history buff and I know that he would have a story for every memorial we went to. I can't wait to go to D.C. with him some day. Friday we had a party for Steve's birthday. It was a lot of fun. Cody, Marc, and I got to meet some of Steve's family's friends. They were all really nice. We started back on the road on Saturday to head back to B-town. Long drive = Lots of sleeping for "lil Kim" as Cody would say!:) So, that is our trip in a nutshell!
I did a lot of thinking this week just about life and where I am heading. I have decided that I think I know what I want to do, but I don't what to do what I am going to have to do in order to do what I want to do. That was a very odd and confusing sentence. Let me explain...I have decided that I do still really want to pursue a career in music. I really want to be a music teacher some day. It all started with my mom telling me how horrible my old high school's spring show was this past weekend. I just know that I could put on some great shows some day. So, now that I am pretty sure of what I want to do, I now just have to major in music. Well, as most of my fellow IU Hoosiers now, the IU School of Music is not that easy to get into. I think I read one day that only ten percent of the people who audition actually get in. TEN PERCENT!! I really don't think that I would be included in that ten percent.....but, there's no harm in trying. So, I've decided to go ahead and audition for the School of Music in the fall and just see what happens. If I don't get in, I am proposed with quite a big problem. I love IU. I love the university, I love the people, and I love my CSF house!!! I really don't want to have to leave and go somewhere else, but I also know that if I am going to pursue music, I am most likely going to have to, which really stinks. Plus, what is going to happen with me and Marc if I have to go somewhere else? We went the first year and a half of our relationship being and hour or so apart, so I guess we could do it again. I dunno. I do know that God has a plan for me and my life. I know that if He wants me to stay at IU, He will provide a miracle and let me get accepted to the School of Music. I also know that if I have to go to another school in order to major in music, He has a plan for me there, too. I just have to trust Him.
Well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed my first posting on my new blog. I'll try to keep this updated as much as possible. Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone has a great night/day!!:)
